2006 Grand Aggregate Winners

banquet2006.JPG

Our 2006 Grand Aggregate Winners received their awards at the Halloween Athletes Awards banquet in October.

How are the Grand Aggregate award winners determined? Athletes collect points based on their placings at competitions within the province each year, including the New Year's Classic, Valentines, Unicity and Provincials. Athletes gain points for placing 1st through 5th in their division in Medley, Solo, Solo Dance, 2-Baton and 3-Baton in both Open and Winner/Championship events. There are awards for the five age divisions - Primary, Juvenile, Junior, Senior and Collegiate. The Winners of the Grand Aggregate award and the Runner-Up are announced at the Annual MBTSA Awards Banquet each year, and are presented with a beautiful travelling trophy to keep for the year. Athlete's names are engraved onto the trophies for everyone to see for years to come. If you have the chance, take a look at the trophies at the banquet to see who has won them in the past! You may even find your coaches name or someone you know! Set your sites on this award this season.
